Module 4: Fact-Finding

Fact-Finding Hearings are a crucial component of administrative and judicial processes, ensuring that decisions are based on accurate and verified information. This module provides an overview of the law and process of Fact-Finding Hearings in Washington State.  By the end of this module, participants will have gained a basic understanding of the fact-finding process and will be better equipped to conduct effective and legally sound  dependency Fact-Finding Hearings.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn the purpose and procedures of Fact-Finding Hearings.
2. Gain insight into the statutory and regulatory foundations governing Fact-Finding Hearings.
3. Understand the decisions, inquiries, and findings made at Fact-Finding Hearings and the legal standards that apply in decision making.
